The strategy relies on historical data for selecting what ETFs to buy, when to buy and when sell. This is not a buy-and-hold strategy.
-
The ETM Total Market Strategy utilizes a trend-following discipline to identify up-trending ETFs. The ETFs can represent broad market indices, sectors, industries, special situations and commodities.
-
The Strategy moves to cash positions when the market is transitioning from bullish to bearish or bearish to bullish trends. During bear markets, the Strategy may also invest in 1x inverse ETFs of market indices and/or sectors.
-
The Strategy is growth-oriented and any income received is considered incidental.
-
Individual positions are chosen using technical analysis to find ETFs that are trending higher and have strong momentum.
-
Exit strategies are placed on every position according to the underlying volatility of the individual ETF and adjusted as needed.
-
Maximum estimated potential drawdown is 8% or less.
-
When fully invested, the strategy targets between 10 and 20 ETFs with each position initially having an equal allocation of capital.
